TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Payment

  • A 50% of the total amount of the selected activity is required upon booking to guarantee your tour.

  • The remaining balance must be completed on the day of booking, after the activity.

Upon Arrival

  • All clients booking diving excursions with Smiling Tulum must show proof of certification before the tour starts, or they will be unable to dive, and all deposits will be forfeited.

  • Clients must acknowledge they are physically fit to participate in Scuba Diving and related activities.

  • Clients with a pre-existing medical condition must produce a signed letter from a Doctor stating they are “medically fit to undertake Scuba Diving activities.

Changes and Cancellation Policy by Clients

  • Schedule Modifications and/or cancellations can be done 48 hours before the activity date.

  • Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice and no show have no refund.

  • During busy periods: Christmas and New Year (Dec 20th through Jan 10th), and Easter (April 5th through April 19th), the cancellation notice is extended to 7 days before the client’s activity date.

  • We will require a Medical Statement from a Doctor for cancellations due to medical reasons. Our team will do everything to try and reschedule the activity, but if this is not possible, we will provide you with a full refund.

Changes and Cancellations Policy by Company

  • All activities offered are weather dependent. Smiling Tulum will offer different options to rebook the activity if we cannot provide the reserved tour.

  • If clients refuse the alternative option, we will refund your deposit.

  • If Smiling Tulum declares a client unfit or unsuitable for a tour or course, the booking will be declined. If any clients are found to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol before or during any excursion, the tour will be canceled, and no refund will be given.

  • Smiling Tulum will make every effort to adhere to dive schedules and itineraries.

  • Smiling Tulum reserves the right to alter schedules if it is in the client’s interest or when forced to do so due to prevailing weather conditions.

  • Smiling Tulum is not responsible for paying any compensation to clients if a tour is canceled due to war, riot, strike, disputes, terrorist activity, disaster, fire, traffic congestion, adverse weather conditions, or any other circumstances beyond Smiling Tulum's control.

General Policies

  • Any decisions made by an employee of Smiling Tulum will be final on any matters relating to the group's safety.

  • Smiling Tulum will not be responsible for any client committing an illegal act. This may result in the client being excluded from the tour without a refund.
